REAL administers both the CMCS and the Compost Certification Scheme (CCS), a quality assurance and end-of-waste scheme for compost produced on an industrial scale in the UK. Through CCS, REAL collects data on whether certified compost producers accept independently certified compostable liners and/or compostable packaging. REAL has published a paper sharing this data as of September 2022, which can be found below.
