Scheme owner
The Compostable Materials Certification Scheme (CMCS) is owned and administered by Renewable Energy Assurance Limited (REAL). All applications to the scheme are made to REAL.
Certification bodies
REAL appoints certification bodies to perform the certification assessments. More information about the two CMCS certification bodies, DIN Certco and TUV Austria, can be found on their websites:
Laboratories
The testing of product samples is performed by independent laboratories. These laboratories are recognised by the certification bodies and only test reports produced by these facilities can be used for certification purposes.
